Cancellations are super bad for customer trust they effectively cut reliable frequency in half or more. I really wish NJTransit would beef up its data and submit cancellation status to its GTFS feed (schedule_relationship set to Canceled). It’s possible you may have been at the wrong stop for that line, there was a detour bypassing the stop, or the entire run was cancelled. There are three ways to get MyBus information: Download the NJ TRANSIT Mobile App. This is often because of equipment/operator availability problems, or sometimes excessive traffic delaying buses (in either direction). Otherwise, yeah, I’ve had a few buses just never make a run past my stop usually it says “scheduled” for those and never turns into a live time. I usually use the MyBus map view or other apps like Transit or Citymapper to see the live position.
Super basic question, sorry: did it have a live time (“arriving in X mins”, three person %full icon), or did it say “scheduled”? Only the buses broadcasting live times actually exist (unless the bus hasn’t left the terminal yet).
